dust geometry

create / explore / learn / play

The object is never rendered. An invisible signed-distance field becomes perceptible only because thousands of samples change where they gather, thin, and drift.

Touch the dust to add or carve hidden geometry. Condense the samples toward zero distance, then release them. After recognition, inspect the signed-distance field without drawing its surface.

touch the dust · change what it is sampling · condense to read the boundary

The points are distributed across the field. Touch one place to disturb whatever they are sampling.

felt

The same dots reorganized when the hidden field changed. Condensing them made a boundary legible; releasing them dispersed the evidence while the geometry itself remained.

found

The object was not made of dots. Each point was a sample of a distance relationship, and the apparent surface was only the place where that distance approached zero.

carry

A scan, point cloud, dataset, map, or model can make an underlying structure perceptible without being that structure. Representation becomes convincing when enough samples agree about what is underneath.
